Genealogy Support - Randy Crow to Pocahontas through My Father's Side of the Family - Alexander Quarles Holladay, William Waller Holladay's father, married to Virginia Randolph Bolling, and he was the first president of North Carolina State, had the genealogy prepared. I stumbled on a way up the chain to Pocahontas through my mother's side of the family when I was researching it, although I did not make a copy. My mother's twin was named Gay so I guess it was through the Gay's. My father's sister and I think the Crows also go back to Pocahontas although I have never figured out how. I write this support not to beat my chest about my genealogy, but if the fascination people feel when they read I descend from Pocahontas from both sides of my family is really people think I am lying, I want to set the record straight. This support is not a secrete. Its common knowledge around old Wilmington. Although I have double checked, it is possible I have made a mistake in the begat's, but I wiggle back to Pocahontas. It's family lore. As an aside, the closer you get to Pocahontas, cousins' married frequently.
