9 Lesser Domestication Changes to 52 Restraint

Here one can neither do great domestic ( of one's own country) garnering ( gathering up) nor block the strong, but by hardening one's will it will be possible to act, and this is how prevalence ( acceptance) occurs.

52 Restraint - Restraint takes place in the back (non interaction)

I-Ching - Are the police and media lying to us and in fact Ms. Todd was attacked and she is being tortured into saying she made up the story when she was in fact physically attacked by an Obama supporter?

20 Viewing Changes to 24 Return

To sum up Viewing - works is to eschew ( keep away from something disliked) the threat of criminal punishments to make people behave and instead to use Viewing as the means to arouse them to moral transformation.

24 Return - His going out and coming in are done without flaw, so when the friend arrives, he is without blame.

There are several reasons I feel Ashley Todd is a victim, she was attacked by an Obama supporter, and the police are intimidating and torturing Ashley to say she made up her story when in fact she spoke the truth. Ashley's story makes sense. Ashley goes to an ATM. A guy robs her. He sees the McCain bumper sticker on her car. In anger he beats her up because he is an Obama supporter. What does not make sense about that story? Throw out the Obama twist and the story happens very regularly in the USA.

The problem is we are a communi$t country and the communi$t$ support Obama and the communi$t$' know if Ashley's true story makes the news Obama is toast.

Basically the Ashley Todd terrorism boils down to "he said, she said" and the law says she lied and the law is keeping her in jail and away from the public eye. Boy if anyone can have sympathy for Ashley it has got to be John McCain. McCain knows what the bad guys are capable and he knows Ashley could easily be the victim.

If you were a communi$t what would you do when you were told to handle the Ashley Todd coverup? You would call the FBI and tell them to smear Ashley or do whatever it takes to shut her up. The FBI just murdered and bungled the Bruce Ivins deal and we basically found out Louie Freeh is responsible for anthrax and 911 so the FBI are more than happy to do a little damage control of Ashley Todd and get in the bad guys good graces.

First thing the FBI is going to do is scare the "do-do" out of Ashley Todd. They are going to convince Ashley that even though she is charged with a misdemeanor she will go into an mental institution forever and if she does ever gets out she will be put in prison and locked up with Obama supporters. Then they would put their own actors in a cell with Ashley pretending to be Obama supporters. The bad guys love to depict a person as crazy so the first line of smear will be to depict Ashley as mentally ill. Then they will show a picture of Ashley healthy as a horse,

with no physical damages. Then they will get her to write a confession saying they are not beating the do-do out of her and how well treated she has been. All the logical stuff is being done which gives credence to the fact Ashley is in fact the victim and telling the truth.

The bad guys will keep her in jail so no one can contact her to get her side of the victimization. Study the way terrorists are treated in Guantanamo and one will know what Ashley is being subjected.

What Ashley is going through is exactly what each of us will go through who stands up against the government. We live in a communi$t country and Ashley is a prime example of how honest law abiding people are treated in a communi$t country. There are so many unanswered questions. Will we every hear the answers to the most basic of questions? Nope. Security camera. How can we get the truth if the bad guys control and will not let go of the evidence - Ashley Todd. Until Ashley is released we live in a communi$t country and this entire deal can and is probably terrorism of Ashley.

Why does Ashley's story ring true. Huffingtonpost.com answer is we are all racists and we want Ashley's story to be true. There is another answer. We have been in Ashley's shoes. I for one have been treated poorly by a person I feel saw my McCain sticker and got angry. I have been to the McCain rally in which a ballistic Obama fan yelled just as McCain entered the crowd McCain is a murderer. I have seen the unruly Obama supporters. Why isn't this story top subject on YA?

10-27-08 - Today I Googled Ashley Todd and got zero, zip, nada new. Until Ashley is released from jail I am sticking with my opinion that Ashley is the victim, and in fact she was attacked by an Obama supporter. Why doesn't Ashley have a lawyer? This is suspicious. The Ashley Todd case is being swept under the rug, another sign she is a victim.

Also both of Ashley's eyes received injuries. If Ashley made up the black eye I doubt she would have thought to black both eyes so perfectly. Ashley's eyes look as if she was attacked, and I do not think she would have the knowledge to manufactured this authentic look.

The aftermath of Ashley Todd’s story
By Jay Bookman | Friday, October 24, 2008, 04:50 PM

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

McCain volunteer Ashley Todd has now confessed that she made up the story about being attacked by a large black man who carved the letter “B” into her cheek.

The young lady has issues, and I hope she gets the help she needs. End of story.

But let’s talk in a little more depth about the eagerness and even glee with which some in the right-wing blogosphere jumped on that story and immediately claimed it as proof of their worst nightmares coming true. So much of that story was unbelievable from the very beginning, yet certain people wanted to believe it so badly that they ignored all the warning signs and launched into full battle cry.

Andy McCarthy at the National Review’s Corner responded with a post so embarrassing he has now taken it down so nobody can see it.

Dan Riehl at riehlworldview.com posted under the headline “Thugs for change,” claiming that “Obama’s run his campaign just like a street thug out of Chicago. Now we get to see what some of his worst supporters are like.”

Noel Sheppard at newsbusters.org chastized AP for daring to be skeptical of the initial report. Most of all, he wanted to know why the AP didn’t report that the alleged perp was black. How dare they exclude a detail that had no bearing whatsoever on the alleged crime!!

Josh Painter at redstate.com blamed the attack on Barack Obama, suggesting an “Obama thugocracy” was coming: When Obama “urged his supporters to get in their face, did it not occur to him that some of his more deranged followers might take him literally?” Painter asked.

He was echoed by fellow redstater Erick Erickson, who wrote: “Hey! The dude was just doing what The One asked him to. Full pardon on January 21st.”

At Atlas Shugs, they posted the woman’s photo and called it “the new face of the Republican Party.”

“Shame on those that doubted this poor girl,” the post read. “Always ready to jump on the side of the leftists and thugs. ugh. Americans, I implore you to get off your asses and save this country from the radical left coup on the White House, Senate and House…. Perhaps the Obots misunderstood Obama urging his followers to Get In Their Face and GET IN THEIR FACES!” They got the advanced course of Camp Obama to cut up their faces.”

But perhaps the most interesting response came from John Moody, executive vice president at Fox News:

“If Ms. Todd’s allegations are proven accurate, some voters may revisit their support for Senator Obama, not because they are racists (with due respect to Rep. John Murtha), but because they suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Democratic nominee,” Moody wrote. “If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting.”

Now, that is utter nonsense on two counts. First, while the incident did indeed turn out to be a hoax, it has in no way linked McCain to racebaiting and will have no impact whatsoever on the outcome of this race.

But Moody’s claim that Obama supporters might have revisited their position if the story were true is more intriguing, and more revealing as well. Moody claims that under those circumstances, people might suddenly feel they know less about Obama and thus change their vote. But what is the logical trail between those two thoughts? Such an attack would tell people absolutely nothing about Obama.

The real explanation lies in the answer that Moody rejects: racism. A lot of white Americans voting for Obama have had to overcome various degrees of racism to get themselves to that point. That doesn’t make them bad people; to the contrary, they’re thinking things through, and that’s great.

However, for many of those people, an attack of the sort described by Ashley Todd would heighten those internal, emotional obstacles to voting for Obama. That’s precisely why some on the right — with notable exceptions such as Michelle Malkin, a person I do not ordinarily respect much — were so quick to try to make it a huge deal.

They ought to be ashamed.

Campaign Volunteer Faces Charges In Attack Hoax
Ashley Todd told investigators today she "just wanted to tell the truth" -- and was neither robbed, nor attacked
Todd, 20, is now facing charges for filing a false report to police
MORE: KDKA Online Voters Guide | Campaign '08 News
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ? A campaign worker who claimed she was the victim of a politically-motivated attack in which she was beaten, kicked and cut, now admits that she made the whole story up.

According to Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard, Ashley Todd, 20, told investigators today that she "was not robbed and there was no 6'4" black male attacker."

Todd initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield Wednesday night and that the suspect began beating her after seeing a John McCain bumper sticker on her car.

Todd claimed that the mugger even cut a backwards letter "B" in her cheek.

But today investigators say Todd confessed that the attack never happened.

At a news conference this afternoon, officials said they believe that Todd's injuries were self-inflicted.

Police investigating the report said Todd's story began to unravel early on and they administered a polygraph test.

Investigators asked Todd to return to the police station today for more questioning and to help them release a composite sketch of the suspect.

When she did, police say she admitted that she made the whole thing up and that it snowballed out of control.

Todd told investigators today that she "just wanted to tell the truth" – adding that she was neither robbed, nor attacked.

"She indicated that she has prior mental problems and that she does not remember how the backward letter B got on her face," Richard told reporters today.

Todd told police that while she did not remember how the backward "B" got on her face, she may have done it herself since she was the only one in the car.

According to police, Todd said she thought of Barack Obama when she saw the "B" in her rearview mirror.

Meanwhile, police and residents of Bloomfield say they had suspicions from the beginning about the validity of Todd's tale.

"Something seemed a little strange about the story to begin with," said Lisa Diulus.

"I think it's a shame," said Theresa Cherico. "She made Bloomfield out to be like an unsafe neighborhood."

"I don't know, McCain is down in the polls, maybe this is a boost to get him up a little bit," said Mark Billings. "I don't know, maybe she had some personal problems or something."

Police say there's no indication that anyone else was involved in bogus robbery and assault incident involving Todd.

Todd is now facing charge for filing a false police report.

She is spending the weekend behind bars awaiting a psychiatric evaluation on Monday.

Share Print CommentsSarah Palin had a few memorable moments during her campaign stop in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday. But the most eye-opening of them all came, it would appear, when the Alaska Governor somehow drew a connection between Barack Obama's tax policy and an encroaching, nightmarish, communist government. The Illinois Democrat, she hysterically suggested, would, through his proposals, create a country "where the people are not free."

"See, under a big government, more tax agenda, what you thought was yours would really start belonging to somebody else, to everybody else. If you thought your income, your property, your inventory, your investments were, were yours, they would really collectively belong to everybody. Obama, Barack Obama has an ideological commitment to higher taxes, and I say this based on his record... Higher taxes, more government, misusing the power to tax leads to government moving into the role of some believing that government then has to take care of us. And government kind of moving into the role as the other half of our family, making decisions for us. Now, they do this in other countries where the people are not free. Let us fight for what is right. John McCain and I, we will put our trust in you."
That yarn goes well beyond what Palin and McCain have, to this point, been comfortable asserting: mainly that Obama is proposing economic socialism. But there are a few things to keep in mind here: the McCain-Palin ticket does not oppose a progressive tax system. In fact, back in 2000, the Arizona Republican said rich people paid more in taxes because they could afford to do so.

"I think the first people who deserve a tax cut are working Americans with children that need to educate their children," he said, "and they're the ones that I would support tax cuts for first."

More importantly, Obama's tax plans are less progressive than those in place during the Clinton years. In fact, the rates that people making over $250,000 would have to pay would be the same as during the 1990s -- a time definitely not marked by the absence of freedoms.

The True Story Revealed: Ashley Todd
Sunday, October 26, 2008 Update by Joseph "Maxnmona" Fink

Pages: 1 2 Next page »

Most of you have probably heard of the case of Ashley Todd, the former Ron Paul supporter turned College Republican/McCain campaign worker who shocked the dumb portion of the world with her story of being attacked by a large black man outside of an ATM who carved the letter B in her cheek. Here's a news article if you missed all this:

Todd handed the man $60 she had in her pocket and stepped away from him, investigators said. The man then noticed the bumper sticker on the woman's car, which was parked in front of the ATM. The man became very angry, made comments to Todd about John McCain and punched her in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground, police said.

"He continued to kick and punch her repeatedly and said he would teach her a lesson for supporting John McCain," said police Chief Nate Harper.

The man then carved the "B" into Todd's right cheek.

Todd's friend offered to drive her back in the direction she came from to look at ATMs until she found the right one, police said. A police officer followed until Todd pointed out a Citizens Bank ATM at Liberty and Pearl, police said.

She declined medical treatment at the scene and said she would go to a hospital today.

There were some problems with her story, of course. The first is that, like SomethingAwful's own DocEvil, she obsessively documented on Twitter every step of her night. Except maybe she was setting things up a little too conveniently for what she would have no way of knowing was going to happen next. Oh, and maybe she got a few bits of info wrong too, referring to the Citizens Bank as a Bank of America, and saying things like "this is definitely a bad part of town, I'm gonna get mugged by an angry political black man I bet" about a not bad part of town.

Oh, also maybe the B was backwards and didn't break the skin. Like how it'd be if you drew one really hard with your fingernail in the mirror.

Then, despite her airtight story, Ashley failed to shock the world by announcing that she had made it all up.

Ashley Todd, 20, of College Station, Texas, has been charged with filing a false police report, a misdemeanor, a police report said.

"This has wasted so much time...It's just a lot of wasted man hours," Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant said at a briefing.

But there's a twist:

"She is stating that she was in her vehicle driving around, and she came up with this idea," [Bryant] said. "She said she has prior mental problems and doesn't know how the backward letter 'B' got on her face."

Wait. Hold it there.

She admits to making it up, but she doesn't know how she ended up with a fake black eye and a backwards B very very lightly carved on her face? I guess that makes perfect sense. Sometimes minor stuff just slips our minds.

Which is why I've decided to help jog her memory by coming up with a few possibilities as to how it all actually went down:
