The Greatest Dog in the World, Roxanne, is Dead

Not too long ago, today, June 28, 2009, I finish burying Roxanne in my backyard. She lays next to Brandy's headstone. This is a sad day. Without a doubt Roxanne is/was my best friend. Well I have another fiend I like a lot. But no one has even thought about loving me as much as Roxanne loved/loves me. The last few days she has been staying extremely close. Maybe she knew she would die soon and it was her way of telling me good bye. Saturday we went to E town to pick up chicken for Homecoming today and got back about 4 PM. Roxanne has been eating like a horse and has not shown any signs of being sick. Before going to KFC we stopped at Walmart, and I was amazed Roxanne had taken three massive dumps since we left, and she never goes to the bathroom in the truck. Of course Roxanne rode in the back of the truck with her constant smile on her face. If I had received half of the compliments Roxanne has received I would have done been president long ago. Yesterday was too hot. I think a kid from church found her, and told me after I came back from looking for her after church. She was quite bloated so she had been dead since probably yesterday when we got back. She was in a shaded area behind the church. Maybe she wanted me to find her there. She had a few blood spots under her nose. Maybe it was a heat stoke. She was on Atropia and she would have been 10 in November. So I guess a combination of age, pills, and heat killed her. As I do when I am sad, I have found my beloved "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying," so I guess I will be doing a lot of reading and praying from it. This book got me through Brandy's death, and I read it when death seems imminent for someone I love. I just can't believe God made a dog as wonderful as Roxanne. At least I hope she died of natural causes. As a Post Script, today is Monday June 29, and it has been a little over one day since I buried Roxanne. Today I received a book from and written by an old friend who lives in Thailand, and has been a Buddhist Monk since 1975. We can go to the bank knowing this rekindling of our old friendship and his book is part of God's plan for helping me get through Roxanne's death. As I read his book and have my mind blown as to how smart God is to coordinate this book with Roxanne's death, I will probably want to expound on the subject.

Bladen county commissioners may be mad at me for filing a property tax protest. In what I felt was strange timing shortly after my tax protest went to the county commissioners I was notified of jury duty. During jury duty I find the case is a murder case and the defendant is a John Franklin Hester. During my jury questioning I said I did not believe in the death penalty when the accused is defended by state appointed attorney, and I was eliminated as a juror. After I was cut from the jury, went on line and read Hester was in fact being defended by state appointed attorneys. Saturday night, and Roxanne would have been dead at the time, I received a hang up call, and I don't get hang up calls very often, as my phone number is unlisted, and when I do they seem to be in connection to some current problem going on. Maybe the person who murdered Roxanne called to find out if I had found her dead yet. It is possible someone murdered my dog in response to some weird local control freak hate agenda. Murdering my dog, now that is a death offense and a reason to waterboard every person even remotely connected to the murder.

Well this does look a little suspicious as far as the I Ching response is concerned. God guide me to have a correct understanding of Roxanne's death. There are a lot of secretes in Bladen County. Maybe someone is whistling at me and I am not rolling over to suit them. God if someone murdered my dog, expose them, and fuck them up beyond their wildest dreams. I have asked, so I know I will receive. Thank you. Thank you. Amen.

So the following is a possible scenario. Roxanne was in fact murdered. The Bladen County commissioners got and are angry I filed a tax protest with the state. My tax protest with the state will show the state in my case that my tax appraisal was arbitrary and not based upon my purchase price. The state may think that where there is smoke fire may exist. The state probably has gotten many reports Bladen County does not follow the rules and this is a little proof. Bladen County commissioners may fear my mouth and may wonder what secretes of theirs am I familiar. Well of course the world knows Smithfield Foods pollutes the heck out of the Cape Fear River, but having a local yokel around who owned a high tech sewage treatment plant and knows what pollutes may bother some. So in an effort to intimidate they decided to give me jury duty. Since jury duty is supposed to be random and not picked, my knowing that some rules are ignored in Bladen County may be a method to telling me we don't follow rules here and you better do what we want you to do. Then my action as a potential juror may have not suited them. I said I did not believe in the death penalty when the accused is defended by state appointed attorneys. Wrong answer. So some one close to power thought it would be fun to have my dog murdered since they knew I loved my dog and this would be a method to teach me things in Bladen County don't go by the rules and murdering a loved pet is only Plan A . Since this county lives on gossip and meddling in the business of others, someone knew HB feeds Roxanne almost every day. So someone got H to put something in the food fed to Roxanne to murder her. H agreed and so a little conspiracy led to Roxanne's death. Could I be wrong? Of course. Could I be partially or nearly correct. Yep. Who knows? God. It has been my experience that in the fullness of time truth reveals itself. OK H, be sure and tell Roxanne you are sorry. You have hurt her feelings badly. She thought you were a friend.

John Franklin Hester had state appointed attorneys defending him. Myron Britt first trial ended in a hung jury when Britt was paying his attorneys out of his own pocket. Britt was convicted of first degree murder yesterday. Interestingly, Britt’s conviction comes after the state started paying his attorneys’ fees. Basically all the attorney fees of every convicted murderer on death row are paid by the state. 60 or 70 years from now we will see if Hester is still pleased the jury sparred his life. It is unfair for most murderers who can afford to pay their attorneys fees get off when most of those who can’t get death. Fairness is the only detriment to crime. Unfairness promotes crime. Except in serial killer murder cases, and there may be other exceptions, convicted murderers defended by state appointed attorneys maximum punishment should be life without parole. The jury in the Hester trial made a fair, smart, crime deterrent decision when they gave Hester life without parole.
