The Bad guys, Rothschilds/Rockefellers, Threaten Mom, in effect saying “Stop Protesting War or We’ll Have Your Son ( in the Military) Killed”
Logic dictates the bad guys had Pat Tillman shot in the back as a Karl Rove publicity stunt to help raise comrade Little George's poll numbers which had fallen like a lead balloon because of Israel secrete service torturing and sexual abuse of Arab prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison outside Baghdad. It has taken five years and still it is not well known that Pat Tillman had been speaking out against the war in Afghanistan before his "murder for good press." About the same time Pat was murdered, April 4, 2004, Casey Sheehan was killed in Iraq. As I recall although I can't find my article, it was my guess then that Casey was murdered because Cindy Sheehan was protesting the Iraq war. Now there is word a new to the world antiwar Mom received about as blatant a son's death threat as a Mom will ever get. My translation of the incident is, "if you don't stop protesting the war we are going to kill your son in the military." The article below explains the threat. The threat came in the form of a letter a Mom wrote her son in the military. The letter was returned, with a red "deceased" stamped on it. This Mom had been war protesting DAYS before the letter returned. The bad guys are noted for operating fast.
The classic photo above shows an older military guy in Ms Sheehan's face while she is peacefully protesting the war. Logic dictates the bad guys manipulated the older guy to get in Ms. Sheehan's face and turn violent. Ms Sheehan and the antiwar group are showing great courage because it is becoming clear the bad guys are sending fascist type "Brown Shirts" to physically hurt peaceful antiwar protesters. Ms. Sheehan has done a good job of documenting the violence against peaceful anti war protesters, but unfortunately, it appears protesters in the country while Obama is president need to fear for their lives and expect physical violence against them.

A Minnesota woman is suing the federal government after a letter she mailed to her son in Iraq was returned with the word "deceased" stamped on the envelope, even though the soldier is alive.
Joan Najbar filed the lawsuit last month in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, claiming emotional distress and negligence.
Najbar sent her son the letter in September 2006. It was returned several weeks later with the red stamp mark.
Najbar contacted the Red Cross and learned her son had not been killed.
The government's response to her lawsuit has not yet been filed, but the U.S. Postal Service found no evidence of negligence after Najbar filed a claim in 2008.
Her attorney says he is investigating whether Najbar's anti-war protest on the steps of a Duluth post office days before the letter was returned had anything to do with the stamp.

Why Wolfowize & Rover Ordered Pat Tillman Killed
To my mind, logic dictates Pee Dee Wolfowiz and Karl "Marx" Rover ordered true American Pat Tillman murdered because the bad guys wanted positive publicity for the war effort and felt like they could capitalize on Tilllman's death, every newspaper I saw today Tillman's death was front page news, because Pat Tillman is/ was a great American. Needless to say Wolfowiz and Rover are insane, probably on heroin, war criminals, not Americans, hate America because they ordered a great American Pat Tillman murdered for propaganda to make their evil war fly in the face of continual and obviously justified, their murder of Tillman is another example of their evil, criticism from around the world.
The zioni$t communi$t Wolfowizie bad guys murdered Tillman just like they coughed up Saddam Hussein when they wanted and needed good news. The bad guys killed a great American for propaganda to stop criticism. Soldiers are furious because our finest are forced to stay in Iraq longer than promised. The Administration will argue to angry soldiers, "Stop complaining, great American Pat Tillman re upped and paid the ultimate price so you can do the same." People are/were angry because they are/were loosing overtime pay. Now the Administration will say, "Pat Tillman gave up $3.6 million dollar job and he died for his country (yea, you murdered him) can't you give up your overtime pay?" Contractors doing work in Iraq Wolfowiz set up and had their fellow workers murdered to start Fallujah are angry. The Administration will say to them, "Quit complaining, Pat Tillman did not complain and he paid the ultimate price." Members of Congress are tired of Wolfowizie lies and want answers and now the Administration will say, "Pat Tillman did not complain or ask questions and Tillman paid the ultimate price so Congress quit asking so many questions." The stock market has been falling and some of Bush's biggest boosters in the media are becoming disillusioned with his handling of Iraq. Now the Wolfowizies will say to them, "Look at Tillman, Pat did not complain and he stayed the course so you should too."
Everything said good about Pat Tillman is true. Wolfowizie. Rover. You deliberately killed a good true American, Pat Tillman, to give you a position you wanted touted in your newspapers. That's pure evil. And you kill our fine military soldiers, the sons and daughters, if our fine soldiers or their parents do not favor, or give the world proof, your evil war is evil.
This is the problem with everything coming out of the Poppy Seed's New World Order - it is a scam based on New York times types propaganda and lies. Sept. 11 is a lie. The 911 Commission is a cover up lie. Oil prices are a lie. The Ponzi Greenspan pyramid scheme global economy is a lie. The Administration orders cluster bombs dropped on Fallujah - that's unacceptable and pure evil. That's un American. Israel kicking Palestinians out of Jerusalem is racist and unacceptable. Israel's nuclear program is unacceptable. Israel's assassinations are unacceptable.
One could make a list a mile long of the motives behind the Administration, or the bad guys in the shadow Administration calling the shots, would want true American Pat Tillman murdered. One of the reasons the bad guys murdered Tillman when they did is because the pro draft started, I think this weekend, and and the bad guys knew Pat Tillman's death would have added impact if it coincided with the pro football draft.
Hopefully there will be a public investigation of Pat Tillman's death and it will point to another Wolfowizie Rover bad guy murder to promote their evil zioni$t communi$t agenda. Pat Tillman was killed at night and this is the start of assuming foul play.
God was Pat Tillman murdered by some aspect of the war criminal Wolfowizie Rover bad guy shadow government who wanted Pat's death to help them in their propaganda for the zioni$t communi$t Neocon manipulated war?

7 The Army changes to 40 Deliverance
When there is conflict the masses are sure to rise up. The man who can dominate the people will rule the world. One does a dangerous thing but the strong one is delighted.
Deliverance
Things can not stay with obstructions. Danger, killing Pat, produces movement. Through movement one escapes danger: (Sept. 11, found promoting zioni$m, communi$m) this is deliverance.
zzzzzzzzzzz
A list of reasons why the bad guys murdered Pat Tillman.
1.
Pat's murder said something Wolfowizie Rover wanted the media
to say.
2. Murder typical Wolfowizie Rover dirty trick. Skilling is
another dirty trick in the making. Cheney and the guys in
the Administration who are in on the Enron dirty deed are
afraid Skilling will blow the whistle on them. (Wolfowizie
Rover had my cross my heart wife murdered and play dirty tricks
on me regularly so I know Wolfowizie Rover play dirty tricks
which include murder and so do a lot of other people.)
3. War criminals Wolfowizie Rovers are pure evil even showing
signs they are on heroin - dropped cluster bombs on Fallujah,
cut water and electricity to civilians in Fallujah, over 900
Iraqi civilians killed in Fallujah in Holy week revenge for
the death of four contract workers whose deaths they manipulated,
and had a mosque attacked during Holy week. ( This type of
evil are reasons we know we are living during the time of
the Book of Revelations and the evil the world faces is the
evil of the antichrists depicted in the Book of Revelations.)
4. NFL draft this weekend.
5. Pat Tillman's death a planned publicity event the New York
times types media carried around the country and world.
6. Criticism of the Administration rampant.
7. Stock market takes tumble.
8. Israel's racist exclusion of Palestinians from Jerusalem
and zioni$t led USA ordered assassination carried out by Israel
condemned by the world. (Jerusalem belongs to the world, not
grasping, coveting Israel. The racist hate filled Berlin type
wall financed by the USA taxpayer which separates the West
Bank and Gaza from the Palestinian homeland is pure evil and
must be torn down. "Mr. Sharon, tear down that wall."
8. Mr. Kerry pointing out Little George is behind high gasoline
prices. (Although Mr. Kerry's plan for a self supplied USA
oil wise is unsound and promotes war, death and destruction
and in the long run Kerry's oil policies are just as bad as
Little George's deliberate actions on the world oil market
- now the bad guys are even attacking oil platforms in Iraq,
which is pushing up oil prices.)
9. Pat Tillman murdered at night which is what one would expect
from an inside job.
10. 911 a zioni$t communi$t Wolfowizie Rover Poppy Seed manipulated
terrorist attack and the 911 Cover up becoming a known around
the world.
11. In hind sight Vietnam was for the purpose of hooking the
world on drugs so the communi$t Poppy Seeds could be the drug
dealers, make all kinds of money, to spread zioni$m communi$m.
Now the reasons for Iraq are materializing - steal the world's
money through a Ponzi Greenspan pyramid economy and spread
zioni$m communi$m.
12. zioni$m communi$m boils down to Yalie zioni$t communi$t$
want all the Affirmative Action and will murder and do any
evil to get all the Affirmative Action.
13. Coffin Photos
14. Reality casts grim shadow on administration's Iraq scenario
15. Appeals court allows Moussaoui trial to proceed.
16. Mordechai Vanunu, who exposed Israel's top-secrete nuclear
program, was freed.
17. USA plans Iraqi security force made up of Saddam Hussein's
Republican Guard reveals the fact the Administration has been
backing Saddam Hussein and the Sunni communists from the get
go.
18 Bremer giving high paying jobs in Iraq to Saddam Hussein
Sunni criticized as anti Shi'ite terrorism as usual in Iraq.
(If you liked Saddam you will love Bremer.)
19. Lawmakers call for cheap drugs from Canada.
20. Patriot Act, it should be called the Hate America Act,
rightfully considered un american and possibly all of it will
not be extended.
21. Tony Blair seen as Bush's poodle and an extension of the
antichrist.
22. Numbers of US soldiers wounded and killed in Iraq soars.
23. Sens. Mark Dayton, Carl Levin, and Joe Biden treated with
contempt by Wolfowizie.
24. Richard Perle and the Iraqi National Congress, an organization
which promotes zioni$m communi$m, violates lobbying rule
25.List of people who will loose overtime pay long and angry.
26. Terrorist attacks planned by Wolfowizie Rover Poppy seed
bad guys have been foiled in recent weeks and Wolfowize is
angry and saw a chance to murder, Pat Tillman, in revenge
for his terrorism, murder, death, and destruction, not going
as he planned and hoped.
27. High tech Diabold electronic voting machines are being
criticized and 20 states have introduced legislation to require
a paper trail and this frustrates Wolfowize Rover because
they had counted on rigged voting machines to anoint the antichrist.
28. Gasoline futures set record highs and are running truckers
and small businesses out of business and this is seen as the
Administration's way of expanding monopolies and promoting
a global communi$t style economy owned by people who will
live in their septic tank.
29. Toll roads are seen as a way of increasing the size of
government, promoting a communi$t style global economy, unconstitutional,
and people are questioning toll roads as a means of financing
roads.
30. The Supreme Court considering the president's authority
to secretly judge cases against foreigners and US citizens
the president arbitrarily names 'enemy combatants.'
31. NORAD drills before Sept. 11 with planes flown by remote
control simulating planes crashing into the heavily insured
recently purchased before Sept. 11 by a zioni$t World Trade
buildings and Pentagon and this worries butties Wolfowize
and Rover that they will be rightfully nailed for planning
Sept. 11 and rightfully thrown in the lake of burning sulfurs,
translated as they are beat twice as badly as Jesus was beat
in the move the Passion of Christ and crucified as
the world watches laughing and cheering all the while the
people yell too bad near do well wannabe's.
32. These are some of the reasons Wolfowizie and Rover have
great true American Pat Tillman murdered.
33. Rover blowing Ms. Plame's cover and he is angry and worried
he will be sent to prison for violating federal laws.
34. Becoming clear the reason Little George made sure Timothy
McVey got the needle is so McVey could not testify in the
Nichols trial and prove Oklahoma City was a Poppy seed conspiracy
to get rid of McVey and intimidate people who have the proof
and were complaining Waco was a deliberate burn up of the
Branch Divinians.
35. Eric Rudolph trial put off until after the election seen
as a political move to keep religious right voting for Little
George in November.

Yesterday, Bay Area CODEPINK and I, started our caravan to Creech AFB in Nevada with a morning peace rally at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA.
After we got there we were informed that we had to move off the base and were shown by MPs where we could protest. As good warriors for free speech and peace, we groused about it and we were moving forward to where we were supposed to go, when a very angry older man pulled up and started yelling at us to: “Don’t go, I want to counter protest you.” I told him, first of all, he shouldn’t be drinking so early in the morning, and secondly not to worry, that we were going anywhere, we were just moving about 100 yards away.
We decided to just stop and take a picture by the Travis AFB sign and then we were going to get back in our cars to caravan down to Lemoore NAS because it was extremely windy and we were running a little late anyway.
I was giving a little speech denouncing the drone-bombing program and the upcoming 50 percent troop escalation to Afghanistan, when the angry old man, now dressed in a military uniform, charged around the corner and got right into my bullhorn—I told him to get out of my face and he very violently slaps the bullhorn away from me.
Everything happened so quickly: I was so shocked that I was actually physically assaulted that I just turned away from him and that’s when my colleague, Suzanne immediately jumped to my aid and got between the man and me. He swore profusely and pushed her—and then a mini-melee ensued. The numerous MPs and POs that were there finally intervened after I asked them to stop the man from assaulting my friends. I touched no one even though I was within my rights to defend myself. The video clearly shows that the aggressor and the person who brought unreasoning anger and violence to the rally was Sgt. Phil Ward
After the mini-melee, a Fairfield Police Officer, told Suzanne and I that we couldn’t press charges against the man who physically assaulted us because it was a “he-said, she-said” situation, when at least one dozen law enforcement officers were standing around and witnessing the events AND if we did press charges, then Suzanne and I would also have to go to jail until things got sorted out! Complete bullshit.
After all that, when we were leaving, like we were asked to, I got about 2 feet out of the parking lot and I noticed one of the CODEPINK women was not in the van, so I pulled over to the side of the road to wait for her and as soon I we got rolling again, to add insult to injury, I WAS PULLED OVER and detained for about one-half hour and kept isolated in my car from the others until I was presented with a ticket for “impeding traffic!”
We dropped my daughter’s car off and I hopped in the van with a group of desperadoes, (with me being the third youngest, at 52, and six out of eleven in the van being over 70), and we headed down to Lemoore NAS and a National Guard post in Fresno. After another three- hour drive from Fresno, we landed at a cheap motel in Mojave California and I was shocked to open my email and see that I had received numerous emails attacking me for essentially “bullying” a poor, old military veteran.
I watched the news videos to confirm my recollection, which was 100 percent correct. I got to watch an interview that Phil Ward did after his attack on us and he says that the killing in the wars is “right and proper” and was exceedingly upset with Obama because he is only sending 34,000 more troops to Afghanistan when the generals asked for 40,000 more. During an interview with me, I am clearly shaken, but I say, “no matter how much violence they bring to us, we will bring them more peace.”
A thing to think about in this whole episode, is that at least one area newspaper posted that we were going to be at Travis AFB, and it only drew ONE person out to protest us who was unreasonably aggressive and almost comically out of control? Hmm—it makes one wonder what Phil Ward was up to. He charged out of his car at us from the second he got there and felt it was okay to be physically aggressive towards me and the other protestors and he did get away with it with impunity?
We will bring them more peace, but we will also bring them justice, too, as we are planning on pressing charges against Phil Ward as soon as we return from Creech AFB.
There’s scum that attack and more scum that protect those attackers.
There’s scum that take away our rights to peaceably assemble and to freedom of speech, and more scum that protect those who try to steal those rights.
We the People need to be the ones to vigorously defend our rights and defend peace on earth from everyone from Sgt. Phil Ward to President Obama who think that killing is “right and proper.”
Video of Phil Ward attacking our protest:

Getting up early to stop at Edwards AFB and Nellis AFB on our way to Creech in Nevada—the other stops yesterday were uneventful and we just want to peaceably protest without any further assaults.

WASHINGTON — In April 2001, seven months after the Navy destroyer Cole was bombed in Yemen, Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri was staying at a Qaeda guesthouse in Afghanistan when he is alleged to have laid out how he had planned the whole thing.

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. decided a military commission would prosecute Mr. Nashiri.
One of those houseguests was later captured, and he told F.B.I. agents the story of those boasts and implied that he could be a star witness if Mr. Nashiri were tried for the murder of the 17 American sailors killed in the attack.
That trial is going to happen, but that witness is no longer available. Still, prosecutors may not need him. Mr. Nashiri will be tried by a military commission, and under the rules there, F.B.I. agents can simply repeat the accounts of witnesses — indirect testimony that would generally be inadmissible in a civilian court.
Mr. Nashiri’s case will be the marquee test of a new tribunal system designed to handle terrorism suspects. But the decision by Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to prosecute him before a commission, while putting the self-proclaimed mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, before a civilian court, has set off a fierce debate.
Some conservatives have argued that all accused terrorists should be tried before commissions, like the one that will decide Mr. Nashiri’s fate. It is too risky, they contend, to try any terror defendant in the civilian legal system, where the rules of evidence are far more restrictive.
Civil libertarians, on the other hand, contend that the administration’s approach amounts to a two-tier system in which cases with weaker evidence receive second-class justice by being shunted into the looser commission system.
A close look at the evidence against Mr. Nashiri provides a case study of the significant differences that remain between civilian trials and military commissions, even after a recent overhaul by Congress. It shows that it would indeed be simpler to introduce certain evidence against terror defendants in commissions, but that nagging questions about the legality of the military court system present significant hurdles.
A review of public documents and interviews with current and former officials familiar with the case also illuminates the difficult trade-offs the administration faces as it pores through the prison population at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and decides the fates of detainees like Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Nashiri.
In explaining why Mr. Nashiri would not receive a civilian trial, Mr. Holder cited “a variety of factors” while emphasizing one in particular: It “was an attack on a United States warship, and that, I think, is appropriately placed into the military commissions setting.”
But several current and former officials familiar with the case say that concerns about the evidence against Mr. Nashiri were an overriding factor. Prosecuting him under the more stringent rules of civilian court would have been perilous. Most of that evidence consists of hearsay — statements made outside court, like the former detainee’s account of what he said he heard Mr. Nashiri say in April 2001.
In a civilian trial, hearsay statements generally cannot be introduced because there is no opportunity for defense lawyers to cross-examine the witness. But under commission rules, F.B.I. agents could tell a military jury what Mr. Nashiri told the detainee, according to the detainee.
“In a federal court where the Constitution applies, a defendant is allowed to confront his accusers face to face,” said Lt. Cmdr. Stephen Reyes of the Navy, the military lawyer assigned to represent Mr. Nashiri. “In this case, Nashiri could be convicted and put to death without ever seeing any one of his accusers take the stand.”
But Bryan Whitman, a Pentagon spokesman, said the government’s case that Mr. Nashiri was Al Qaeda’s key organizer of the Cole attack was “solid,” and characterized the legal protections available to the defendant as “unprecedented in the history of modern warfare.”
“The fact that many of the potential witnesses are citizens of other nations who cannot be compelled to attend trial in the United States is one of several evidentiary concerns that make trial by military commissions the proper legal venue,” Mr. Whitman said.
The case against Mr. Nashiri also includes some evidence the defense is likely to portray as circumstantial: business records with his name or aliases related to the renting of safe houses and the registration of cars used in the operation, as well as the purchase of the small boat on which two suicide-bombers carried the explosives to the side of the Cole as it was refueling in the harbor next to Aden, Yemen, on Oct. 12, 2000.
But unlike Mr. Mohammed, who has repeatedly admitted planning the Sept. 11 attacks, Mr. Nashiri, who was apparently in Afghanistan at the time of the Cole attack, is expected to strongly deny plotting to bomb the warship. While he admitted taking money from Osama bin Laden to buy the boat in a March 2007 military hearing at Guantánamo, he claimed he intended only to start a fishing business.

High Court Cites Change in Law Permitting Obama to Keep Photos Secret
by Jason Ditz, November 30, 2009

In a move that was highly expected, the Supreme Court issued a brief today throwing out a previous ruling by the US court of appeals which ordered the release of detainee abuse photos.
The Supreme Court cited a recent change in federal law that allowed the executive branch to unilaterally declare that making the photos public would “endanger American soldiers,” which they did earlier this month, effectively keeping the photos a secret indefinitely.
The ACLU, which had initially sought the release of the photos, has vowed to continue the fight to see them eventually released. At this point, however, that appears unlikely.
President Obama initially claimed that the photos didn’t contain anything particularly sensational but demanded the court overturn the ruling after Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki predicted that the photos would delay the US pullout from the nation.
Documents filed with the Supreme Court say one of the photos showed a soldier “acting” as if he was anally raping a detainee with a broom handle. The motion claimed that even though the federal government failed to prove to the appellate court that any individual was in physical danger, they could still keep the photos secret on the basis of non-specific concern
Mysterious 'Saddam Channel' Hits Iraq TV

BAGHDAD — Turning on their TVs during the long holiday weekend, Iraqis were greeted by a familiar if unexpected face from their brutal past: Saddam Hussein.
The late Iraqi dictator is lauded on a mysterious satellite channel that began broadcasting on the Islamic calendar's anniversary of his 2006 execution.
No one seems to know who is bankrolling the so-called Saddam Channel, although the Iraqi government suspects it's Baathists whose political party Saddam once led. The Associated Press tracked down a man in Damascus, Syria named Mohammed Jarboua, who claimed to be its chairman.
The Saddam channel, he said, "didn't receive a penny from the Baathists" and is for Iraqis and other Arabs who "long for his rule."
Jarboua has clearly made considerable efforts to hide where it's aired from and refuses to say who is funding it besides "people who love us."
Iraqis surprised to find Saddam on their TVs responded with the kind of divided emotions that marked his reign.
"Iraqis don't need such a satellite channel because it has hostile intentions," said Hassan Subhi, a 28-year-old Shiite who owns an Internet cafe in eastern Baghdad.
Others said they felt a nostalgic sorrow at the sight of their late leader, a Sunni Arab.
Story continues below
"All my family felt sad," said Samar Majid, a Sunni high school teacher in western Baghdad, mentioning images shown from Saddam's execution, and pictures of his two sons and grandson.
The channel, which is broadcast across the Arab world, dredges up the sectarian divisions that Saddam inspired among Shiites and Sunnis at a time when Iraq is gearing up for crucial national elections. Iraqi politicians have been arguing over parliamentary seat distribution in a dispute that has inflamed the splits. The wrangling will likely delay the vote beyond its constitutionally required Jan. 30 deadline.
Saddam's hanging three years ago was on the first day of Eid al-Adha, the most important holiday of the Islamic calendar. His execution – and the day it was done – remains a sore point for Saddam sympathizers still smarting over images of the defiant leader in his final moments as Shiites in the death chamber shouted curses.
The Saddam Channel debuted on Friday, the first day of this year's Eid for Sunnis. The holiday started Saturday for Shiites. The station's official name alternates between "Al-Lafeta" ("the banner") and "Al-Arabi" ("the Arab").
It is mostly a montage of flattering, still images of Saddam – some of him dressed in military uniform, others in a suit, even one astride a white horse. One image shows his sons Odai and Qusai smiling with their father, and another their bodies after they and Saddam's grandson, Mustafa, were killed in a July 2003 gunfight with U.S. troops.
One prominently displayed image is that of a man burning an American flag. Another shows graves covered with Iraqi flags.
All the pictures are set against audio recordings of Saddam making speeches and reciting poetry. Patriotic songs urge listeners to "liberate our country." None of the pictures appear to be recent, and no announcers or commentators appear or speak.
A media adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, a Shiite, brushed off the station and its message, and refused to comment on whether the government will seek to shut down the channel.
Al-Maliki adviser Yassin Majid said in an interview that he had not seen the channel but had heard of it. He called it "an attempt from the dissolved Baath Party to return to Iraq's politics." Since Saddam's fall, Baathists have spread out around the region, mainly to Syria and Jordan but also to Gulf countries and Yemen.
Among the many mysteries surrounding the channel is where it is being broadcast from.
In a telephone interview Sunday from Damascus, Jarboua said he is Algerian and that the Saddam Channel is based in Europe but refused to say where, citing safety concerns for its employees.
"There are threats that the Iraqi government will shut it down, kill its employees, that they will liquidate it," Jarboua said.
He said he started al-Lafeta nine months ago in Lebanon, and has employees in Syria, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Ziad Khassawneh, a Jordanian Baathist who once headed Saddam's defense team, said wealthy Iraqis living in Lebanon, Syria and other Arab countries are funding the channel. He declined to give names.
Saddam's oldest daughter, Raghad Saddam Hussein, who lives in Jordan, has denied any connection to the channel.
One Jordan-based Iraqi Baathist said the station broadcasts from Libya and is run by followers of Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, Saddam's No. 2 and a top leader of the outlawed Baath party. Douri's whereabouts is unknown.
Another former Baathist official said the Saddam Channel broadcasts out of Damascus. Both men spoke on condition of anonymity because they said they needed to protect the security of the channel's employees.
A Mideast satellite expert said al-Lafeta's operators tried to hide any clues to their identities and broadcast sites by using a variety of satellite services and frequencies. The channel airs via Noorsat, a Bahrain-based satellite service. It also has purchased a frequency on Egypt-owned NileSat, which is run by Eutelsat, a European consortium.
Some Iraqis shrugged off the broadcast as harmless.
"This channel doesn't mean anything to people," Muhammad Abdullah, 35, an Iraqi journalist, said in northern Baghdad. "It has no effect on the Iraqi people now."
